Chi no Wadachi review
One of the best works made by Oshimi Shuuzou ,its drawing is dirty in details but clean in the facial expressions and the fact of bothering the reader is great. As for the argument I must point out that it is built on the psychological relationship between the protagonist Seiichi and his mother seiko. His mother is the center of the conflicts in the life of seichi to the point of turning him into an outcast and socially repressed person.
If I had to recommend this manga, I would have to advise you to read the previous works done by Oshimi Shuuzou in order understand the way how he is telling us the stories through unstable personal relationships in the characters lives .

Chi no Wadachi review
Everything we do and everything we say in and of itself is false. We may think that everything is fine and dandy but deep down there's always going to be another side to the story. In this manga, we have that lesson taught to us in the most psychologically understandable way possible.
We live in a world where everyone's crazy. From the mother of Seiichi's cousin who thinks too highly of herself right to the teenage girl (Fuukishi) who thinks too highly of someone else. In some ways, having too much of something can be crazy.
For Seiichi as well, the craziness accumulated from the mother's ill behavior in front of him. So, nobody is safe in this story, not even us as audiences. I know some of us will end up thinking too much about the manga and start becoming crazy trying to figure out a way to put the pieces of the manga together in our minds.
Overall, we who take the time to read something as hectic as this understand something... We are all suffering from something/by someone. Equally, we also don't suffer - some of us take pride in the insufferable lifestyles which make our bodies and minds yearn for suffering, much like being suffocated by happiness.

Chi no Wadachi review
This resonates with me on so many levels. I have my mental disorder, diagnosed, worked on, and is getting better. Thus I know how wrenching it is to live with, to grow up with, and to be able to tear away from a narcissist, clingy, possessive and manipulative mother.
Yes, the Fukuushi girl might be crazy, but her type of craziness might give the son a healthier, balanced taste of a life.
Yes yes yes, this is indeed a nice tour guide (of sort) for people whose life has been burdened with the mixture of love, belonging, selfishness and misguide from mothers.

Chi no Wadachi review
WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS
[Intro] This is my first review but whatever. I’ve recently caught up to the most recent chapter of Chi no Wadachi and I felt the need to write a review of this amazing manga.
[ Story / plot - 9 ] Let’s start off with the story. Put simply, it’s one big mind-fuck for the protagonist, Seiichi, that just keeps getting worse as his love for his abusive mother grows stronger. Not because he genuinely loves her, it’s because she has made him feel the need to ‘protect her’ by his company.
His mother, who thinks that only she deserves Seiichi, forcibly shuns him from everyone that she feels would be a ‘nuisance’ to their relationship. That includes, his dad, his girlfriend (Fukiishi), and his cousin and relatives.
I personally like the story because of how much it relates to me, not entirely, but most aspects. The whole manga in general was made to be relatable. Another feature of this manga that the author has done amazingly was the suspense at the end of each chapter. The more you read, the more you want to read. It sounds basic but that’s how I felt the whole way through. What was also interesting was the fact that nearly every chapter could terrify the reader or leave them is a state of shock.
[ Art - 9 ] Next, the art. I don’t have much to say about it but what I can confirm is that it is amazing and unique. Every face is made to look exaggerated which creates a suspenseful and chilling atmosphere. The art altogether fits the story perfectly since it conveys fear in a simplistic yet detailed way.
[ Character - 7 ] Moving on to the characters. For the most part, they hit way too close to home. The main character, who becomes emotionally unstable after an event that occurs early on in the story, who only has his girlfriend to comfort him. His girlfriend, Fukiishi, related to him a lot since her life at home was just as miserable. Now moving onto the woman herself, Osabe Seiko. She constantly manipulates Seiichi to the point where he makes his loyalty for her an obsession which degrades his mental health.
Quick note- Fukiishi is best girl.
[ Enjoyment - 10 ] Oh boy, I personally enjoyed this manga way too much. Despite it’s flaws, it was one hell of a ride. Since I am a big fan of the psychological / thriller genre, this was perfect for my tastes. It’s fast paced style and the fact that you could binge the whole series quite fast was an aspect that I likes quite a lot and wished that *Some* mangaka could adapt, however it doesn’t work for all types of manga.
Overall, it was amazing. Not a masterpiece, but very close. I couldn’t find any problems but one thing that was worrying me when it was nearing the end, was that the ending was going to be bad. I hope the ending becomes something memorable and brilliant since I know that the author/ mangaka has come up with some brilliant ideas so far [As of this review, there are only 76 chapters]
Ps: What would you like for breakfast, a meat bun or a red bean bun?
