Boku wa Kiss de Uso wo Tsuku

Story 6/10: To be completely honest there really wasn't much of a story other than who was the one who kissed her in the library. The story mainly focuses on romance scene after romance scene which quite frankly bugged me a little because I found it a little cheesy but I guess I shouldn't complain because this manga is suppose to be about romance anyway. I just wish it didn't seem so completely rushed.

Art 9/10: I really have no complaints about the art I thought the main character had a really pretty design and all the guys were pretty hot as well, It was making it hard to choose which guy I liked the best.

Characters 6/10 : Now it's down to the bad part of this manga. First off the girl is really pretty yet all she does is run away every time something happens instead of talking, there is only one character in the whole manga that is using logical sense by saying "What will running away all the time solve?" to her. Anyway now to the guys, without spoiling it I just want to say really only two out of the four guys matter in this manga, the other two are there but get very little development. I honestly think the story would of been much better if they gave equal time to all the characters much like the Nisekoi manga has rather than brushing them off in tiny scenes.

Overall I did enjoy this manga at first but then as I went on it started to feel way too rushed which is why I think it could of been much more developed if it were longer and more in depth with all the characters and not just a few.

Once you get into story it gets really interesting. With these all the guys that may have kissed her it so nerve racking that one of them was the culprit, you just keep thinking who did, was it him, or him, so it wasn't him, wait it really was him huh, maybe it was him instead. When she found out who it REALLY was the story gets all sweet and you see the culprit's point of view. The story has some surprising parts and some humor here and there. If you want a enjoyable manga/story to read or to kill some time I'll recommend this.

(7)Story: I felt the set-up was cliche with the premise of a "mystery kiss" and all of that. Despite this, I actually really liked the idea. That is, until I came to understand some of the characters' motives and (let me tell you) I was not impressed.

(9)Art: The art had to be the most impressive part of the whole manga. I (like many other girls) appreciate a good bishie and there were plenty of them in this manga. The art was also very consistent and flowed well, although I felt like some of the angles were a bit repetitive.

(6)Character: And here is the fatal wound to this manga. Given more time this would have been amazing, I'm sure, but because it was all stuffed into two volumes a lot of depth of character was lost. The character development also takes away from the "mystery", leading you to assume there is only one person it could possibly be. I think they would have been much better off extending this manga in order to fully develop all of the supporting characters.

(7)Enjoyment: This manga has it's good points, but it also has some bumps that are a bit hard to ignore. However, if you're just looking for something to pass the time, have at it! You might find that you enjoyed it more than I.

This manga had the potential of being great if the characters were well developed and if the story was given more depth and written in detail . The artwork was really good - clean and beautiful. If you're looking for a reverse harem shoujo manga, then yeah this would be it given 4 eye candies. I didn't really liked the heroine in here since she came off as the typical shoujou heroine being weak and vulnerable and stuff. Aside from the 3 main characters, the other characters weren't really given room for progress let alone a good background and seemed like they were just written on a whim to add conflict. But if you're looking for some quick romance + nice art then this is for you.

This manga was pretty cute. Short and somewhat gratifying, I would say. Nothing truly spectacular about it except the art (JESUS, Touma can blend eyes to perfection and she draws people very well annndd does an excellent job of drawing facial emotional expressions). And if you like Touma's art style, check out Reimei no Arcana.

I have to warn you, Meiko (main character) keeps trying to solve her problems by running away at everything (you see her run away so often you wonder how people are able to have conversations with her XD ). I probably found that the funniest in the manga.

If you are willing to have a quick laugh and appreciate a glimpse in the happenings of a cute school romance, read it!

It's the latest spin on the who-dun-it: Kiss Mystery! Who kissed me?! Was it the dreamy heartthrob who's always teasing me, the popular but aloof senpai, my athletic and infatuated classmate or a kind looking junior? Meiko is on good terms with all four schoolmates who visit the library often and have all seemed mildly interested in her. But it isn't so easy to figure out the perpetrator when everyone is falling all over each other claiming they're the one who kissed her even when they aren't.

Let’s start with what us shoujo readers look for first, the art. Plus 12! Clean lines, elegant almost aristocratic faces and detailed bodily actions. Eyes are big and glossy enough but don’t overpower the face. Each bishie is drawn distinctly, with the looks in cute correspondence with the character's personality. Meiko is constantly teased for having slanting cat like eyes, and you realize she really does look a tad feline. Background is not secondary, but crucial to each scene and therefore locations are drawn accurately if not beautifully. The characters have a limited range of expressions, but that's easily pardoned. The bishies love their sexy sidelong glances in this story and exploit that feature to their maximum extent! Kyoichiro always looks calm and collected, sometimes calculating. Shinoda alternates between smoldering glances, flirtatious teasing and no nonsense possessiveness. Mogami has the eager, puppy dog smile and underdog persona going for him while Hachiya lends the unexpected element whose droopy eyes and shy smile disarm Meiko.

A lot of investment is made in building solid personalities here. No character belies his nature by doing something absurd or delivering unnecessary dialogue. Each new character's attitude is delved into deeper in each chapter and hidden nuances come out, giving our leads three dimensional personalities. Each chapter ends in a cliffhanger with one or the other hero attempting something with Meiko, so the intrigue keeps you hooked in right till the end. They aren't always truthful or sincere, so Meiko is always on the verge of falling for the wrong fellow which makes for interesting drama and constant conflict and almost intimate scenes!

Dialogue is always fresh and edgy; you never know what one person is going to say to the other so it's never predictable or dull. Again, each character emphasizes his personality traits by the way they interact with Meiko, while the most anticipated cheeky delivery is by Shinoda. Past histories with Meiko are explored which cements their respective relationship with her. Clearly everyone feels deeply for Meiko and each confession/kiss is preceded by moments which make your heartbeat race! Most steamy scenes are courtesy Shinoda whispering quietly into Meiko's ears but others try their hardest to woo her as well.

The dry humor is evident in every other panel even if the same scene has heavy elements of romance/drama in it. Toma is blessed at delivering one liners like 'Capacity Exceeded...!!' or 'I wouldn't like it if my kitty kat were tamed'! Each character is magnetic is his own right and Meiko must constantly keep on her toes to keep from swooning on the spot.

Overall, this is a totally fun read, one in which no aspect of the heroine is annoying or disappointing to feminist readers and each character has its own unique and respectable role to play which makes this a very top quality shoujo manga indeed!

I Found this manga at random , it has this ironic idea of a girl who goes into the library every single day to read mystery novels , until one day she gets wrapped up in her own mystery by trying to find out the person who stole her first kiss .

The manga has the proper length it wasn't too short or too long , every guy had his own role to play and overall the story was quite enjoyable .

Art : the art was really enjoyable and easy to the eye , it was consistent in every chapter so you won't feel annoyed seeing the art look slightly different in each chapter , i think it was the best portion of the manga really and the art alone caused me to look for other manga's by the same mangaka .

Characters : the characters were a great aspect of this manga , i absolutely loved each one although some of them didn't get the proper attention they needed and the fact this was such a short manga we didn't really see the characters develop that much throughout the story .

i would give the manga an overall 8 just because it was your typical cliche shoujo manga although it had it's twists and turns , it was still some what predictable never the less it was one of the sweetest manga's i have ever read .

I found this manga somewhat by random, and wasn't disappointed, but certainly was not blown away. What caught on to me that made me want to read it (besides the fact that it's a reverse harem) was the very appealing and eye catching art. The visuals are great, with clean, smooth lines and well drawn characters.

The characters are all stereotypes in one form or another, not that this is necessarily a bad thing; whether this was done on purpose or not, it seems to apply true for the guys in the series: the "ladies' man", the "smart guy with glasses", the "easygoing jock guy", and the "young looking droopy eyed kid"...Okay, that last one isn't as much of a stereotype. But besides the main two not many of the characters are given a chance to flesh out and have more depth to them. The manga just seemed to rush everything. That was the main problem, for me. It felt sort of hurried.

The story wasn't too bad. It was based around the premise of the main girl who is rather self conscious (especially of her 'cat' like eyes) Meiko, having a kiss stolen from her in the school's library, and the culprit could be one of a number of guys who just happened to be there at the time. Oh goodness, the drama.

One aspect I found interesting was how it centered around Meiko in the first part of the manga and her dilemma in not knowing which guy had kissed her, and then it became more in the point of view of the other main character in the series, seeing how the events had unfolded in his eyes and what he was thinking.

I liked it. It was a cute read. Not incredibly deep or meaningful, but it wasn't supposed to be. Even though the guy she ends up with is a little typical and I kind of would have rathered a different scenario to unfold, it's a sweet shoujo for someone who's in the mood for it.

It is a nice little who-done it. Very cute and enjoyable. For me, I really was guessing till the end. Even though I had my pick for who I wanted it to be from the very beginning! I was happily surprised! This manga does have you routing for everyone!

The art work is beautiful. The eye expressions are fantastic. You are really drawn in. I am a sucker for a beautifully drawn manga, and I had no complaints at all! I really loved it!!

This is a truly wonderful and enjoyable manga! I would suggest this to anyone who is looking for a short little manga to read to pass a little time and enjoy a wonderful story then this is for you!!!
