Gokushufudou 's review
I think the best way I can describe Gokushufudou is with one word, charming. The way the reader's expectations are subverted is simple but continuously entertaining.
The story is presented as separate events in each chapter. It's like reading a large collection of one-shots taking place in one universe with the same characters.
The art is gorgeous and fits the tone perfectly. It displays the toony charm seen in other anime and manga with well placed detail and realism to add drama.
The characters are easy to fall in love with and I would be a liar to say I haven't fallen head over heels with the protagonist, Tatsu. It's lovely to see a strong male character that genuinely enjoys a typically feminine role. Mark me down as adoring and afraid.
If you're looking for a nice laugh or perhaps to feel warm and bubbly, I'd highly suggest giving Gokushufudou a read!

Gokushufudou 's review
This manga is only 6 chapters long at the moment, so I can't say too much about it really but lemme try and write something up for it.
This is a gag manga of sorts about a Yakuza turned house husband and the shenanigans he gets into daily thanks to how he carries himself as an ex-Yakuza as well as his past coming up once or twice so far and causing some misunderstandings.
I like this manga, it's funny and I always enjoy manga about Yakuza or delinquents etc. so I had to pick this up and give it a read, so far I really like it.
One thing that bothers me though is the chapters sometimes end abruptly and I'm left wondering if maybe I didn't read the full chapter or something but nah it's just like that. It doesn't detract from my enjoyment or anything though I just felt that was something worth noting so that you don't go into as I did and get confused.

Gokushufudou 's review
This manga is based on a legendary Yakuza member, one of the strongest brawlers around and legend of the criminal underworld turned into a (mostly) docile house-husband by the love of a special woman. Don't expect anything too deep out of this story however, as it is almost solely a comedy, featuring short chapters that often jump between events rapidly rather than a more continuous, slower paced story. If you are not a huge comedy fan it might not be the choice for you but as far as I am concerned this series is one of the best comedies I've ever laid my eyes upon.
Chapter after chapter I find myself in stitches at the various misunderstandings, adventures and triumphs of Tatsu the Immortal, legendary house-husband!
The art is quite good, nothing particularly spectacular or revolutionary but of high enough quality to receive full marks. Quality is consistent and it stays on-model. The artist is quite talented in his ability to give the main character, Tatsu, an almost omnipresent natural menacing look that is simply his default. He is simultaneously frightening but totally casual and unaware of his aura of intimidation at most times. Capturing two things that are so at odds with one another in facial expression and body language is quite the triumph in my opinion.

Gokushufudou 's review
Actually funny manga with beautiful art style. Its hard to find mangas which actually make me laugh instead of making me cringe. However, its not perfect. For starters, there is not much of a story progression. Every chapter is completely isolated and very funny, but goes nowhere. This makes me feels as if im reading a garfield comic on a newspaper lol. Because of this its easy to lose interest when nothing is ever really happening. Also, the comedy can get repetitive. The same "im a badass doing wholesome things" joke gets tiring after a while.
Good manga to pass the time but not one to really go in deep.

A “House Husband” who was an “Immortal Yakuza” (Gangster)/ Comedy/ Slice of life
DO YOU actually believe being in abandoned factory or dark alleyways/ basements are SAFER than staying in normal houses or markets?
DO YOU still believe mafia and your nemesis are SCARIER than your wife or girlfriend?
DO READ this manga, it will change your mind :P
Story : 10
The style, シリアスな笑い (嚴肅搞笑/ serious comedy), of the story is amazing. Using the element, prejudice (as we expect Yakuza to act in a certain way), the story unintentionally makes us laugh even though it seems "ordinary".
Since it doesn’t really have strict story line, similar to that of “Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan”, it can last forever until the mangaka runs out of idea.
The abrupt conclusion of each chapter is also another reason why this manga is top-tier.
Art: 10
Ok guys, this category is a perfect 10. DON’T ARGUE WITH ME ON THIS CATEGORY! Those background are GOLD and those face expressions are DIAMOND. It is not hard to tell that the mangaka spent so much time on each manga box.
Character: 10
Because Yakuza and house husband are two contrasting “occupations”, ギャップ萌え (反差萌/ contrasting moe) setup for Tatsu is a huge selling point. Honestly, don’t want to spoil too much on this category as well.
Enjoyment: 10
This cannot be lower than a 10. I have never read any manga that can make normal daily routines, such as washing clothes or making food, to be as amusing as how this manga portrayed. It has been a while that a manga can make me laugh like this :D
Caution: readers need to be patient about this manga ( I don’t think this is a weekly manga); however, with such quality, I will say the wait is worth it.
Overall: 10 or 9.5
This manga has the potential of being long-lasting since it solely depends how many ideas or laughing points this mangaka will create. As long as this manga keeps on updating, I will keep on reading and following. -0.5 because of potential room for error
Honestly, this manga, sooner or later, will become an anime.

Gokushufudou 's review
It starts as an absolute blast, but quickly begins to lose steam, and past chapter 20 or so just keeps slowly trudging along, while producing an occasional chuckle.
Characters are mostly used as as source of gags (meaning don't expect development here), but the art is quite good, and a lot of jokes revolve around drawing ganster or people with menacing/serious expressions. Speaking of art, there are no chibis and stereotypical manga/anime characters with triangular faces, characters are realistic (as far as manga goes), and with detailed background.
The main issue is the manga losing its steam, as you can only push the premise so far without it getting a bit old. However it might still be worth checking once in a while for visuals and occasional joke above average.
This manga is worth checking out, but don't expect it remain on the same level for the entirety of the series. Beginning, however, is guaranteed to be fun.
6/10 story, 7/10 art, 6/10 character, 5/10 enjoyment, 6/10 overall.

This right here is on its own league
Well I would call it "comic about yakuza in real life"
Its based on stereotypes about yakuza people and how those would interact in everyday normal life situations if it so happened that the yakuza "monster" would be living as a house husband.. :D
It is really entertaining, really well written and will really set you laughing pretty much in each story.
What else here to say, the very well executed unique approach that is meant to create a very well comedy.
There is hardly anything else I would recommend reading next to this manga, that how unique and how good it is

Gokushufudou 's review
(TL;DR at the bottom)
I really can't praise this manga enough honestly. It's not very often that I find a series that just doesn't miss, every chapter is great, if you liked the first chapter then I can say you'll love this series. The only thing it is really missing is a story, but honestly, it doesn't really need one, the jokes and art more than make up for the lack of an actual story. The art style is also magnificent the expressions are so well made.
TL;DR, if you read the first chapter and you liked it, keep reading because I can promise you'll find every chapter after it just as, if not more, incredible.

Gokushufudou 's review
Only 5 Chapters out right now, so these are just some thoughts and to get more people to read it.
I don't like giving it an absolute overall rating yet but MAL demands it so there ya go. Let's call it the "first impression rating".
If you are a fan of stone cold comedic delivery, this is for you. The chapters are short but fresh, episodic but with a red string somewhere in there. We will have to see if they focus on comedy or story. Maybe they can actually manage both but we'll have to wait and see.
It has been some time since reading a manga has made me truly laugh but this gets it done.
Again, the manga is not fully out yet hence no full review.
Go give it a try!

Gokushufudou 's review
Yeah - Gokushufudou only has one joke, but it's a really funny one.
This manga relies on excellent visual comedy. The contrast between ex-yakuza protagonist Tatsu and literally anything going else in the scene is always great. Chapters are short, sweet, and idiosyncratic (like most gag series). If anything, Gokushufudou is missing a narrative backbone - something that would emotionally invest us to its wacky set of side characters including a gaggle of neighborhood housewives, an impressible gang lowlife, a cute otaku wife, and our eternally misunderstood househusband (who's really just doing his best)! Looking forward to reading more and seeing the characters develop.

STORY:there is not much of a story since its a comedy and comprises of one chapter conclusions. but the premise is that you get to have fun and laugh a lot while watching a yakuza giving up being a yakuza but still having the habits of a yakuza.
ART: the mangaka seems to be in his early stages in the first couple of chapters since he sometimes messes up the timing but as the manga progressess he gets better at both timing and art
CHARACTERS: i love all the characters except for one yakuza group leader women. the character behaviour's are one of the major factors in the success of the manga
ENJOYEMENT: this was so damn enjoyeable that i read through all of it in a day and now i regret reading it so fast

Gokushufudou 's review
This series started off great. The premise is very funny, and was able to sustain itself for a few chapters, but it became very bland very quickly. I suppose there's only so much you can do with the premise of "manly man takes on a traditionally feminine role" before it goes stale. I think this would've worked better as a single volume, or as part of a larger series of vingettes.
That said, the art is very solid throughout, at least what I've read. It's not spectacular or particularly unique, but it is very competently done. The character designs are interesting, and I want to eat the food off of the page, but overall it's just fine. Nothing revolutionary, but not poorly thought out.

I writin' this review while I jsut only read 25 chapters but keep in mind I just wanted to promote the good stuff bro'.
So do you wanna' read a good comic about a badass main hero who also unique and funny?
Then this is your manga! meet Immortal Tatsu the ex-yakuza who will make you laugh.
Long story short this is a really fuuny story about an ex-yakuza whose livin' his everyday live now as a full time husband in his unique way.
As far as I see every chapter is a little story ( you know 1 chapter=1 episode kinda way )
You will enjoy it. Guaranteed.
10/10 (funny, good art style, likeable characters)
Would recommend for everyone.

This is such a hidden gem! A surprise find I discovered thanks to Manga Rock's recommendations (RIP Manga Rock).
If you want to read a manga that is unique, hilarious, super easy to follow, and doesn't require any brainpower to digest, Gokushufudou is the manga for you. There are only around 15 pages per chapter, and the focus of story changes with every chapter.
The story follows an ex-yakuza who was so feared back in the days, Tatsu, who is currently a full-time househusband. His wife, Miku, the breadwinner, is a strong, independent career-woman. Tatsu is ridiculously good at doing housework, and he takes pride in what he does. There is no plot so far, just pure hilarity as we follow Tatsu's day to day activities like shopping for groceries, chilling with the neighbourhood housewives, and taking care of his wife. Their relationship looks unconventional but very refreshing to see.
It's really good. Some chapters had me in stitches from too much laughing. I'd recommend this to everybody who's out for a good time.

Now I'm gonna be blunt with y'all. The only minus with my experience so far is that I cannot rate this manga 11 here, cause this is a 11/10 manga. I promise you will enjoy it if you love gangsters and dark, good humor.
This manga tells a story of a man who has lived a life of crime in past who falls in love passionately and becomes a "house husband" leaving the dark past behind. This manga is extremely sweet and funny and I have never ever bothered to review anything here before so you better believe me it's worth a read.
Enjoy the read bro

Gokushufudou 's review
My favourite manga to date, and if you know me (which you don't, but never mind), it's not hard to see why.
Story (8/10): Honestly, for what Gokushufudou is, I couldn't give less of a damn if it hadn't any sort of distinct storyline. Just so happens that it does though, and it ain't half-bad either. Nothing incredible, but the whole yakuza deal it's got going on slots itself home into this manga's environment and as part of the characters' lives quite seamlessly.
Art (10/10): If Nichijou thrived off of simple yet absurd scenes, and Danshi Koukousei was filled with priceless face expressions, then Gokushufudou combines the best of both worlds and ups the level a notch, resulting in a military-grade vessel of bruh moments. And it never gets old either. I swear, every time there's a panel where a character's face is shadowed for comedic effect, I laugh myself silly. Am I just dumb? Whatever the case, even if it isn't anything groundbreaking, its art in general is - in my opinion - much more than just decent. And if its aim is maximal comedic effect, it absolutely gets top marks.
Characters (10/10): Come to think of it, I don't think there's a single character is Gokushufudou that peeves me for having some sort of personality flaw that I dislike. They're all pretty well-rounded individuals that are entertaining and enjoyable to follow. Even still, I may not feverently adore every single character there is, but goddamnit does Tatsu make up for it. Seriously, the man is absolutely perfect in my eyes, no homo.
Enjoyment (10/10): The first time I read Gokushufudou, it was during a lecture at college. (Yeah, I admit it, I wasn't paying attention, but that's besides the point.) My face ached from repeatedly stopping myself bursting out laughing. And my sides too. It's actually quite hard for me to find a page in this entire manga which has NOT made me laugh the first time I read it. See, Gokushufudou is a manga that's meant to make its readers laugh. Now I might just be an anomaly of society and reality, but at times it's nearly given me a wholeass seizure. Or so it feels, anyway.
Overall (10/10): Just like with Nichijou or Danshi Koukousei, not everybody may find Gokushufudou's comedy comedic at all. Yet, with that in mind, my final verdict stays the same, and I say it with utter confidence - you absolutely HAVE to read this manga.
